About us
Buying from China isn’t hard because of distance. It’s hard because nobody is standing there.
My Air Ship exists to close that gap. We are the people in the room when your order is quoted, sampled, made, and packed — and the people you call when it isn’t going to plan.
Our story
Started by the buyer who kept flying out.
My Air Ship began in 2016 out of a European importer’s frustration. Orders were placed from a desk in Germany, confirmed in cheerful English by a “factory” that turned out to be three people with a laptop, and the first honest look at the goods came when a container was unloaded eight weeks later.
The fix was unglamorous: move to Guangdong, visit the plants, learn who actually owns the machines. What began as one buyer’s workaround became a service — first for friends in the same trade, then for their competitors.
Today the team is split between Shenzhen and Berlin. That split is the whole point: the sourcing happens where the factories are, the account work happens where the buyers are, and the same file passes between the two without translation loss.
What we believe
A good sourcing partner should make themselves easy to check — photographs from the floor, the real factory name on the invoice, and the reasoning behind every quote.
Presence
Two offices, eight time zones apart, on purpose.

How we work
Three commitments we can be held to.
- Say the inconvenient thing
- If a product is not worth making at your target price, or a supplier looks wrong, you hear it early — even when it costs us the order.
- Show the work
- Quotes come with reasoning, inspections come with photographs, and you always know which factory you are actually buying from.
- Finish what we start
- We stay attached to an order until the goods arrive. Sourcing is not a hand-off; it is a commitment that ends at your warehouse door.
Next step
Come and check whether we are any good.
Send one product you are struggling to source. You will get a real answer, not a sales sequence.
