Pet supplies
Import pet supplies from China
From dog toys and cat trees to leashes, harnesses and beds through to feeding systems and carriers, we source pet supplies from vetted Chinese manufacturers and secure the relevant EU compliance.
What we source
We source the full pet range: dog and cat toys, chew and tug toys, cat trees and scratching mats, beds, cushions and blankets, leashes, collars and harnesses, plus carriers and transport bags. We also handle feeding systems, automatic feeders, water fountains, litter boxes and grooming accessories such as brushes and nail clippers.
Jiangsu province around Nanjing and Suqian is a strong cluster for pet products, especially textile and plastic items. Yiwu supplies breadth of accessories, Dongguan handles electronic products such as feeders and fountains, and Qingdao is strong in textiles and beds.
What matters most
Pet supplies are not governed in the EU by a single product regulation but are subject to general product safety under the GPSR and the substance restrictions of REACH. Particularly relevant are azo dyes, plasticisers in soft plastic, and heavy metals in fittings; we request the corresponding test reports.
For chew and bite toys we apply mechanical requirements analogous to the toy standard EN 71, for example avoiding swallowable small parts and sharp edges. Bowls and all parts in contact with food or water are checked for food-contact suitability under LFGB, especially for plastic, melamine and stainless steel.
Electrical products such as automatic feeders, water fountains and heated beds require CE, EMC compliance and, depending on design, the low-voltage requirements. We inspect power supplies and chargers separately, as compliance gaps often occur there.
How we source
We translate your requirements into a specification covering materials, dimensions, load capacity and packaging, and select specialised manufacturers from the appropriate clusters. Before the run we have samples made and check seams, the tensile strength of leashes and harnesses, the stability of cat trees, and material compliance.
During production we run in-line checks and a pre-shipment AQL inspection including tensile, tear and functional tests. We then arrange consolidation, sea freight, customs clearance and delivery to your warehouse or fulfilment partner.
Why buyers use My Air Ship
Pet supplies look simple but hide real safety risks in materials, small parts and electronics. Our team on the ground knows the specialised factories in Jiangsu and filters out suppliers with unclear material provenance early.
You receive transparent pricing, documented material testing and a clear mapping of the requirements that apply. This lets you build a range that can compete and that minimises customs and complaint risks.
FAQ
Common questions
- What requirements apply to bowls and feeders?
- All parts in contact with food or water should be food-contact safe and are tested under LFGB or the relevant EU rules. This covers plastic, melamine and stainless steel. We arrange migration and material tests and document the results.
- Are dog toys regulated in the EU like children's toys?
- Pet toys do not fall directly under the Toy Safety Directive but are subject to the GPSR and REACH. In practice we apply EN 71-analogous mechanical requirements to chew and bite toys, for example on small parts and edges, and test dyes and plasticisers.
- Can you source electrical products such as automatic feeders?
- Yes. We source automatic feeders, water fountains and heated beds, paying particular attention to CE, EMC and power-supply safety. We inspect these products separately, as compliance gaps are common here.
